We enjoyed a lovely (relatively "warm") evening with friends and families on our new patio at the club, singing our heart out at 5pm and livening up the neighbourhood, to the delight of those who neighbour the club.
With special thanks to those joining us from Rotherfield (outdoor and short mat) and Jarvis Brook (short mat), Rev Judith Wilkinson from St Michael and All Angles joined us, and with some wonderful heart-warming words for the community and a prayer for those who were unable to join us on the night, or we remember in our thoughts.
Mince pies and mulled wine followed, and we also received a lovely card (through Bob Beeson) from Linda Law (via her daughter) with the news that she is hopefully to leave Stoke Mandeville in late February, and heading down for he new and exciting life in Dorset to be with her family. We'll always hold a special "bowling" thought in our hearts for Linda and Frank, and will of course remain in touch and find out whether the bowls in Dorset is (as expected) not as good as at CWBC !
